Melissa Anelli (MA): Hi! Welcome to PotterCast, the first official podcast for The Leaky Cauldron. I'm Melissa from Leaky, I'll be leading you through a lot of this week�s PotterCast but in the future, you will hear from all our staff. We're really happy to finally bring this podcast to you. We've been playing with this cool technology for like six months now, and we think we've finally hit upon something that you'll like. So, we hope you have fun.

Here's what you can usually expect from our CauldronCast (PotterCast). First, you'll get your news. We're going to start each week with a short wrap-up of what's been going on in the Harry Potter world, so you'll be able to catch up if you've missed a few items, or just be reminded about what's going on. This show will also feature some bits that will be weekly recurring features, such as the Modcast, for moderators from our forums LeakyLounge.com, who really are the people who know what you guys are talking about right now. We\\\'ll get together to discuss theories, speculation and just kvell together. They're a lot of fun. They're a little loopy, but they're a lot of fun.

We'll also interview you. We�ll interview fans about what they think about the books and the films. We're going to start that this week with one of our moderators, but next week we could be talking to you. So make sure that you stick around until the end when you will find out how you can try and be that person. This week we also have an In the Know segment, which is what we call the piece of this show when we talk about Harry Potter with someone who has some expertise in Books, Films, Music... Something related that gives them some sort of informed opinion about Harry Potter, the franchise and the news.

At the end of each show is our Extendable Ears segment. This is where we get to bring you a bit of an interview with the people who actually put the Potter Books and Films together. This week we have Bonnie Wright. She plays Ginny Weasley, and we were really happy to speak to her. She was just a darling. She talks about filming movie four, and reading book six. The second bit of interview we'll be bringing you on Extendable Ears is with Stuart Craig who is the production designer, and has been for all four Harry Potter films. He speaks about doing movie four and also about the beginnings of movie five, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which is in the very, very early stages of pre-production, and will not begin filming properly until January. So that's a lot of fun to have. Then at the very end, we will bring you information on how to become a part of our CauldronCast (PotterCast). We're looking for your input. We can't wait to get you guys involved in this. It's really an interesting way to bring the fans into the site.
