News Talk (0:00 - 8:54)
Melissa Anelli (MA): All right, welcome, everybody, to PotterCast Number 152.
Sue Upton (SU): Wow.
John Noe (JN): Woo!
MA: We are back. I'm Melissa, I'm here with John- with Sue Upton, John Noe, and Frank-Frankie-Franco- (SU: Frak!) Frankie...
JN: He's got a lot of names. (SU laughs) He's got a lot of names.
MA: Frank-Frankity-Frank-Frank-Frank Franco. Well, we have a great show this week.
Frankie Franco III (FF): Many much things going on.
JN: Oh my. We've got lots going on, lots going on (SU: We got a whole...) this week, I think, anyway.
SU: We got a lot of Phoenix stuff, don't we, this week? The return? It's back?
MA: Yeah. We have a bit of the Phoenix Files.
JN: Yeah. Everybody's- I've read comments about people talking about "Where's Phoenix Files? Is there no more Phoenix (FF: Yeah.) Files?" and we got lots of Phoenix Files this week. And then two more, and that's it. (laughs)
FF: The Half-Blood Files.
JN: Then it's time for Prince Files in a few months. (MA: Prince Files.) Half-Blood- yeah, yeah.
MA: Prince Files.
FF: The Half-Blood Pronicles?
JN: Or Prince Pieces?
MA: (laughs) Prince Pieces, Prince...
FF: What? Ew. Half-Blood Drops.
JN: Half-Blood Bits? (FF laughs) (SU: Ew.) (laughs) Ew.
SU: That's too hard to say! (laughs)
JN: Bleh. Pootie.
MA: Okay, first we have to check in with our kids at AudibleKids.com.

FF: (sings) Sue's News, Sue's News!
MA: Time for the news, Suze! What's going on?
SU: Oh, my goodness! Well, we had all been waiting on pins and needles for that (FF: Boo!) Half-Blood Prince trailer, and (gasps) it didn't show up. (sighs)
FF: Boo! I was all sad.
SU: I don't know, what a bummer. I know.
JN: Oh, nuts!
FF: We were going to stay and watch it at midnight, and all sad when it wasn't there.
SU: I know, boo!
MA: Boo! Sue, why do you think it was cut, or delayed?
SU: Well, I don't know, it just seems to me that there's probably a lot going on. There's a lot, a whole lot of movies going on, and maybe they just got delayed for production reasons. They had that The Dark Knight, that's a- Heath Ledger died. This summer is just jam-packed. Look at this, we have, well, Narnia, and then next week is Raiders of the Lost Ark, (FF: Narnia!) and then they got Get Smart, (JN: Gosh.) and Kung Fu Panda, (FF: Oh, my gosh, that's next week?) and just all kinds of things going on. Although, Kung Fu is animated, right? (FF: Kung Fu Panda!) That's animated, right? (FF: Yeah.) Yeah, I think so.
FF: C.G.
JN: And The Hulk comes out, too!
SU: Oh, The Hulk, that's right. (laughs)
JN: Which is a big one.
SU: But I don't know. I'm hopeful.
JN: Oh, WALL-E!
SU: WALL-E!
MA: I want to see WALL-E.
FF: (imitating WALL-E) WALL-E!
JN: (laughs) Do that again!
FF: (imitating WALL-E) WALL-E!
JN: I want to hear Frankie's WALL-E voice again. (SU gasps) (FF laughs) It was perfect.
FF: (imitating WALL-E) WALL-E! (JN laughs)
SU: God! (FF laughs)
JN: (laughs) Dude, is there anything you can't do? I swear.
FF: Oh, you guys are too nice to me.
JN: (imitating WALL-E) WALL-E! I can't do it even close.
FF: It's just talking through your nose. It's (imitating WALL-E) WALL-E!
SU: Can I say this? Back on Harry Potter now, (JN laughs) because those voices- but even though we didn't see anything new from Half-Blood Prince, too much, we did kind of see one new thing, and it was on a set report visit. We saw Tom- a new Tom Felton photo, and (JN: Uh-oh.) yeah, it was part of- some girl got to go see- I don't know if we can even talk about it too much, but I just want to say, "U-No-Poo."
JN: Nuh-uh! (SU: Ya-huh. Yeah.) No!
FF: No way! You serious! (SU: Serious!) Awesome! (laughs) (JN: With Malfoy?) Uh! (SU: They got...) I'm so excited.
SU: Anyway, so this set- This girl had this great set visit report and she's not a fan. She just- I mean, she's not part of a site. She just got to go to as being a regular fan. She got to go and she gave this really detailed report that she put up on our forum and then sent it to us and I mean, she talked a little bit- She got to see them (JN: Yeah.) filming the Secumsem- ugh, how do you say it? Secumsemptra scene with Draco.
JN: Oh my gosh, wow!
FF: Sectumsempra?
MA: Wow.
SU: And...
JN: That's going to be really intense to watch that spell happen. (SU: Yeah.)
FF: But I mean if there's a U-No-Poo (JN: Holy moly.) that means we're going to see the joke shop.
SU: Yes! She did. (FF: Yeah.) She talked about- She said it's the most fantastic set. You know, it's even better than Honeydukes.
FF: Oh, I'm so excited they kept that there. (SU: Yeah. I just...) Uh! (SU: I know.) Dang it! I'm so excited.
SU: Yeah. I know. Let's see what else she talked about. (JN: So cool.) She talked about Borgin and Burkes, you know, and Diagon Alley and you know- And ooh, Ollivander's been smashed so (FF: Diagon Alley.) there's evidence of, you know, kind of, you know, things are going on so that's kind of interesting I thought. They put those little...
JN: No. (SU: Yeah.) Poor Mr. Ollivander.
SU: (laughs) Yeah.
FF: Aw.
MA: Well, you can read the report and everything else on LeakyNews.com.
SU: Yes.
JN: Can I say something? (SU: Yes.) Speaking of reading news on LeakyNews.com, (MA: Oh yeah!) it's a little different nowadays.
SU: It looks so pretty!
MA: We have a whole new layout. We sort of went a little backwards.
JN: We did. Back in time. But I'm already partial to it to be honest and I didn't think I would be, but now we have all kinds of more room to put buttons for everything the site's all about so that'll be exciting. We'll get more of those up soon too.
MA: But, I'll explain. Basically, we used to have a double scrolling thing inside the main page of LeakyNews.com and now we have just reverted back to the regular blog format so that it's easier for you to just (SU and JN: Yeah.) catch up on your news.
JN: People are like, (MA: Yeah.) "I don't want to click on anything else. Err."
MA: It's just an extra little thing that people aren't used to doing on the web so we decided to revert back to (SU: Right.) our usual blog format. All your features are still there. Your tabs are on top and everything like that. And we have a new great feature (SU and FF: Ooh!) coming really soon so we're really excited.
FF: Do tell!
JN: Oh wow. What could that be?
MA: It's going to be something fun.
SU: Something fun!
JN: Ooh, fancy.
SU: I can't wait! You know, something else we saw and it's not Half-Blood Prince, but this made my day. Can I say we saw a new photo of Lucius Malfoy in Azkaban! Jason! (FF laughs)
JN: What is that all about?
FF: Aw, I'm so excited for you.
JN: What is that neck brace all about?
MA: You'll probably see it in a newspaper or something.
SU: Right. Right. (JN: Yeah.) But he was so hysterical. (JN: I heard...) He's there. He's got a neck brace on and his arms are...
JN: I heard they give him his own (SU laughs) song to be singing depressed.
MA: What? Nobody knows the trouble I've seen? (SU laughs)
JN: Pretty much. It lasts (FF: Nobody knows the...) four and a half minutes.
SU: I mean, (FF: ...trouble I've seen.) oh, it's just so hysterical. I don't know (FF: Nobody knows my sorrows.) where they found it but this site they also found this really great- And I thought it very funny. Because you remember at the end of Order of the Phoenix they have that huge, intense battle in the Ministry between- and there's Voldemort? And this photo was a smiling Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter, Michael Gambon, and Dan Radcliffe. And they're smiling, and they had just been filming this scene, so they're all in their costumes. Yet, here's the four of these guys all just happily standing together and smiling in this group shot. It was really quite amusing, you know?
JN: (laughs) Huh.
FF: It was weird seeing Voldemort with a nose.
SU: Yeah, you could see they had put those dots on them because they...
FF: Yeah, the tracking stuff.
SU: So that was really- but it just looked- (JN: That's so cool.) It looked so funny. That made my day. Just to see- Anytime there's new Jason photos, I'm a happy camper. Just saying.
JN: Eh. (SU laughs) Me too. (MA groans)
FF: I agree.
SU: Congratulations to Jo Rowling. She- J.K. Rowling was named Author of the Year by the Children's Book Awards. She got like 55,000 votes (JN: Aw.) or something for her work on Deathly Hallows, (FF: Wow.) so congratulations. And she's also donating to a (JN: Nice!) new- for a charity auction. It's part of that Waterstone's, and all the money's going to dyslexia and stuff. But you can write your own postcard and put it up online and have a contest too so you can be published in the book. Because, this postcard- Jo and thirteen authors have contributed individual postcards that they've drew and like wrote their life story. And you can do the same thing, and then you'll be (FF: That's so cool!) published in the same book if you win this contest. So, that would be cool. I was in the book with Jo Rowling! (JN: Wait...) There you go. (laughs) Pretty cool. I don't know. Okay. Yeah.
FF: That's really cool, not pretty cool.
SU: Really cool. Yeah.
JN: So awesome.
SU: Yeah.
FF: Not to correct you.
SU: Am I forgetting something? I don't know.
MA: Anything else important?
SU: Hm. There's something else I can't think, but I can't remember right now, so no. (laughs)
MA: I have some site news. We never really talk about it here, but if you check out Leaky this week we've got a bunch of contests. Our April poetry contest winners (SU: Yay! Woohoo!) were announced. We also have a new icon contest, actually called, "Icontest," on Leaky. So make sure you get over there and check it out. We've got a lot of great stuff happening (SU: Yeah.) (JN: Sweet.) around the site. So are we done for here for now?
JN: I think so. Let's get on with the rest of this show. Big ol' Phoenix Files week this week.
FF: Oh yes, go to the Phoenix Files.
