Melissa Anelli (MA): Welcome, everybody, to PotterCast 149. We have a huge full house for you tonight, today, whatever time of day you're listening to the show.
Frankie Franco III (FF): What up?
MA: I'm Melissa. I'm here with...
John Noe (JN):Yay!
MA: ...John, and Sue and the Frakster, and Samantha Friedman.
Samantha Friedman (SF): Hoggy-hoggy-what-what?
JN: Oh, that's right!
SF: Oh!
Sue Upton (SU): Do you know all the words to that yet? Do you know all the words to Hoggy?
SF: I do!
SU: You do?
MA: Pathetically, we can sound them on cue. Last night- I'm in Boston here for the We Are Wizards screening. (SU: Mm-hm.) Sam, and John, and B.K. and I went to the opening screening, and we then went bowling afterwards, and, of course, the bowling song was on everybody's mind.
SF: Three hundred, three hundred!
MA: Three hundred! So yes, so yes, yes, yes. (SU: Wow.) Anyway, anyway, PotterCast is here to stay. Let's hear from our sponsor!
JN: Let's hear from our friends.

MA: All right, Sue, what's happening in the Harry Potter world news this week?
SU: Okay, I have a date for you guys: November 19th, 2010.
JN: What?
SF: What's that?
MA: Is that the day that John gets his bar mitzvah? (FF laughs)
SU: (laughs) It is!
FF: What's the wizard word for bar mitzvah?
SF: Is it the day I buy Leaky?
SU: Well, no, it's actually the date that's been confirmed now by Warner Bros. (FF: What? You serious?) that the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (JN: Yay!) Part One is gonna be released.
FF: Nice!
JN: Is that what they're calling it? Part One and Part Two?
MA: What about Part Two?
JN: Sweet. Yeah.
MA: I wanna know if Harry's gonna wear a yellow jumpsuit and carry a samurai sword.
SF: Samurai!
JN: Oh, my gosh, that's so exciting!
SU: I know. But it's nice that we finally got- we waited so long, it was just a month ago, and all of a sudden, boom, "Okay, by the way, yeah. It's gonna be in November."
MA: But you know that means it's another two-year break. We haven't had a two-year break since between Movies Two and Three.
SU: Right.
JN: That makes me mucho pleased.
SU: That's true. Very true. Yes, it does, and why is that, John, because we have something going on in 2009, don't we?
JN: We do have something crazy exciting happening in 2009. Moochka is going to France. (MA laughs) She is. (FF laughs)
SU: She is! She's so fabulous.
SF: (sings) Fabulous!
JN: She is hitch hiking...
MA: Picturing her wearing a little beret and I can't...
SU: Meow!
JN: To France.
SF: Aw, hello, Moochka!
MA: Frak, can you draw that for me? (FF: Aw.) Moochka wearing a little beret?
FF: I will! (JN laughs)
SF: In front of the Eiffel Tower, smoking?
MA: No smoking.
FF: Moochka doesn't smoke! She's not old enough!
JN: She does in France!
SF: I know, but (MA: She doesn't smoke.) I see French people, and I see cigarettes, and little cafés. (laughs)
MA: She doesn't smoke, but she flames. Okay, what else is happening, Suze?
SU: There was actually- and this is something I'm actually very excited about. Warner Bros. actually announced the same day that they announced the movie, is that they're starting this very cool thing called Harry Potter: the Exhibition. Which is they're gonna take all those beautiful props and little things that you've seen from the movies, (FF: Oh, I see.) and they're taking them on a worldwide tour.
JN: I knew this would happen.
SF: That's actually- I haven't heard of that. I'm going to hit that up.
SU: Yeah, it's very cool. It's gonna start in 2009, in the spring, in a major market. They didn't say which yet. And it's supposed to, at this point, just go to ten cities, but they- (JN: Yeah.) "Or more," is how they (JN: We'll see how successf>ul it is, of course.) is how they gave themselves an out. But (laughs) John, guess what they're touring? Hagrid's hut!
JN: No! (MA laughs)
FF: Which one?
JN: Is it going to change?
SU: Yeah, so it really is mobile!
JN: Is it going to change sizes at every stop? (SU: It is!) Is there ten different variations of it?
MA: They're gonna rebuild it everywhere. (FF laughs)
JN: I just want a hot tub in just one city. (SF laughs) I've always been saying, by Movie Seven Part Two, that there will be a Jacuzzi tub at Hagrid's hut. Could you imagine the filters on that thing?
MA: You guys...
FF: I think we need a Jacuzzi pool.
JN: How much hair would be caught in that thing?
MA: Oh, John! (SF laughs)
JN: That would just be brutal.
MA: All right, Sue, Sue, can we please move on? It's in your power. Move on. (JN laughs)
SU: For those- and I just- this is a nostalgic moment, because this is the first time I met Mr. Frak, was when we went to the WB tour, (JN: Yeah!) out in Los Angeles. (FF: That's right!) And it was really neat, and if you've been to that, I think this is going to be a lot more than that, (JN: Well, sure.) but it's still very fabulous. So, if you get a chance and we'll update you when we actually know more. I know people are like, "Oh, where can I buy tickets and stuff?”, but we just...

SU: They don't have that out yet, so. (JN: Yeah.) It's very cool. Also, let's see what else is new. EA has formally announced that they're going to be coming out with a Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince game this fall when Half-Blood Prince movie is out on November 21, 2008. Although there's no, they didn't say the game's coming out the same day but the game is coming so. I'm excited.
JN: The wildly successful follow-up (SU: Yeah.) of Order of the Phoenix (SU: Yeah.) they gave us, though I could not for the life of me get stupid Expelliarmus or- no, it was one spell that was counterclockwise with the controller. I could not do it. It drove me nuts. I think my controller was broken.
SU: Did you ever win the game?
JN: I have to be honest here. (SU: Oops.) No, I have not had a chance to beat this game because I am not very good, apparently at being a wizard on a video game console alas, it's depressing.
SU: Aw.
MA: No.
FF: You need to.
JN: Hm.
MA: I think Frak wants them to do more like a Chamber of Chat thing (SU: Yeah.) where it's like that- Where it's visual representations of characters.
FF: Like World of Warcraft, but Harry Potter.
JN: Yeah!
MA: Right, but with Harry Potter.
JN: Could you imagine a Harry Potter World of Warcraft? Holy crap! I'd fly around as Hedwig all day, (SU: I just want there to be Hufflepuffs.) and just hassle people. (SU laughs)
SU: You totally would! You really would. (MA laughs)
JN: Take owl dumps on people's heads. (MA: John.) That would be like Peeves.
SU: Peeves would be fun. Yeah.
JN: Hedwig meets Peeves.
MA: What else is up, Sue? (SU laughs)
SU: There's going to be a new documentary coming this fall on ABC. 20/20 is doing, you know they had the year in the life of Jo, now they're doing their own version for here in the United States so that'll be kind of interesting. I don't know. (laughs) I was hoping we'd get to see the other one. I wanted to see the other one here in the United States but I guess the ABC version will be fine. I don't know.
MA: Yeah, it'll be good, I'm sure.
SU: Yeah. Also, we've got to say congratulations to Miss Emma Watson, who has turned eighteen. (JN: Woo-hoo!) Yay! Happy birthday to Emma!
SF and FF: Happy birthday.
SU: And she's got a new part in a new movie called Napoleon and Betsy.
JN: Really?
MA: Cool.
SU: Yeah, I think it is.
MA: It's a period drama, right? It's a whole big thing. (SU: It is.) Sounds great.
SU: It does sound great.
JN: Who was that? (MA: What?) Is that like a girl's movie?
SU: Napoleon?
FF: The little dictator?
SU: (laughs) Yes, thank you, Frak! The dictator guy, yeah. You ever hear of him? I think that although besides there was a zillion things about the trial, I think, you know.
MA: Yeah, Kristin is keeping everybody updated so there's an image on Leaky you can click if you want to keep updated on the trial. (SU: Mm-hm.) There's more of that in this episode so let's talk about other things.
JN: Okay.
SU: Yes. Cool.
MA: So, what's happening in the show? We've got a Canon Conundrums (JN and FF: Canon Conundrums.) and we have a Mailbag with all your trial questions or a tiny, tiny bit of all your trial questions. (JN: Yes.) And then, I think that's it because we went so long.
JN: Yeah.
SU: Yeah.
JN: We were going to try and have an interview with the directors of We Are Wizards. (SU: Oo! Cool.) We may have that as of yet. (laughs) Maybe next week but we'll see.
MA: Yeah.
FF: Is there screaming?
MA: Yeah, we're out here in the Boston seeing all of that.
JN: We're in Salem right now.
FF: Salem?
MA: Salem, Massachusetts.
FF: That's awesome, that's where the American witchcraft was.
JN: Yeah.
SF: Oh, everywhere, there's witches and witch stores. (JN laughs)
MA: Well, there were witch trials there.
SF: Dungeons.
FF: Didn't she say that the…
MA: They have a lot to make up for. The Salem Witches Institute. The S.W.I. Swee.
JN: Down the street, there's actually a huge statue of the Bewitched witch.
MA: Sabrina.
SF: Samantha.
JN: It's not Samantha. It's Sabrina (MA laughs) Melissa Joan Hart.
SF: You can't confuse Samantha with Sabrina. (MA: Whoops.) Samantha is superior to all.
MA: Okay, let's move on. Let's go do the Canon Conundrums and then the stuff and then the Scribby Five then we'll see you at the drums.
FF: Woo!
SF: (sings) Canon Conundrums.
