Melissa Anelli (MA): It is our last pre-recorded PotterCasts before our first ever, national summer tour. Welcome to PotterCast Ninety-one.
John Noe (JN): Woo.
Sue Upton (SU): Ninety-one. Whoa.
MA: Ninety-one of these and the rest of these through, what number, John?
JN: We shall be doing the live shows to take us all the way past, like show, 111 or 113 or something crazy like that.
MA: Crazy. Completely nuts. So, welcome. We have a great show for you today. We've got our last official Canon Conundrums. We'll be doing Canon Conundrums on the road from here on out; so, me and John and Sue and our buddy Steve got together for some rehashing of the most the most important canon bits as we lead into Book Seven. We have a great Scribby 5 for you, as well. Couple quick announcements: We will be doing a Leaky Mug at Prophecy, which is the fan conference in Toronto this August; and you have to, if you have the financial means, get another ticket to the keynote presentation on fandom, where our lovely Sue Upton will be a keynote speaker.
JN: Shocking. (SU: Hey, I'm so excited.)
MA: A key-squee speaker. (SU: That's it! Key-squee!) She's a key-squee.
JN: Join me in hassling Sue at her keynote at john@the-leaky-cauldron.org.
MA: Join me and Sue at firing John after he hassles... (SU: Yeah.) (all laugh) This is never- (JN: I've been fired so many times.) I know. (laughs) You really have. We're also going on tour! If you live in the continental United States or in London, make sure to check out PotterCast.com/tour where you can check out all our dates and to discover if we are going to be in a city near you. Starting at the end of June and leading up to the release of The Deathly Hallows.
JN: (sings to the tune of Call to the Post) Woo, oo, oo, woo, woot.
MA: Okay, I think it's time we hear from our friends at Borders, because it's been a while.
Borders Ad: Today's PotterCast is brought to you by Borders. Little more than a month is left before the midnight release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final book of J.K. Rowling's spectacular series. Get into the magic! Borders has a new class of gift cards, designed just for this magical occasion. Their enchanted images appear to hover above the card and will delight all the Potter fans in your life. Check them out by visiting your local Borders, Borders Express, or Waldenbooks store.
MA: Cool. They just keep coming up with new, fun stuff. (JN: That's just craziness.) We love our Borders.
JN: First, we got the Snape stickers and then we got gift cards and the book and, wow.
MA: Let me explain two things about Borders and somebody else. Borders saved the PotterCast last week. (SU: Yes, they did. Woo!) The one that you heard from New Orleans; we had a lot of technical difficulty. I mean what else is new, and discovered afterwards our audio was pretty, pretty shoddy and they had a back-up that they didn't even tell me about until later. And they sent me this email, "Oh, by the way, we have a back-up." And I really thought I would fall to the ground weeping. And they sent us this beautiful audio; so, that's why. And also, The Parselmouths, (JN: Oh, I love them.) (SU: They were great.) the wizard rock band The Parselmouths, MySpace.com/TheParselmouths, saved our audio equipment by packing it up when they noticed that nobody else was packing it up. So, (SU: Ee-ee.) do us all a favor and go check them out, they're pretty cool. Okay, news, news. Sue, do the news.
SU: Oh, we have a lot of news.
