I've started coming to terms with the movie move, but hearing the trailer discussed made me really excited for HBP and then depressed because now we have to wait so long :-/

I was laughing at a bit of the PC and I was sitting in the front room p***ing myself with laughter and mu Mum didn't understand why I was laughing even though I tried to explain to her several times... I suppose it was just basically Johns randomness that she didn't understand!!

anomalink, nice post. I'm also very interested in what will happen to the product tie-ins, most notably the video game. Typically, you can't release a movie game without a movie, but that means this game sits on the shelf for a year, and a year in the gaming industry is like an eternity. Tech-wise, this game will be obsolete by the time it's released.

However, since this game has so many spoilers, I can't imagine WB will grant a release. Granted, I'm sure EA will push for a November release. Can you imagine how many more games they will sell if it's released 8 months before the movie during the holiday season no less.

Melissa, John, and Sue, thanks for the level headed discussion about the movie move. I know people will expect a different reaction from you guys, but I'm glad you were trying to find some positives in such a bummer of a situation.
