Hey guys, LOVE Pottercast - I've been listening since Episode 1! Love you all but Melissa, Melissa, Melissa, way to alienate an entire country in a few seconds! ;o) At least Sue salvaged things with her declaration of love for Scottish men in kilts!!! Hahahaha. Good save! ;o)
But seriously, Melissa, you've been eating in touristy restaurants, I suppose. Also, eating good Scottish food in a restaurant here can be very expensive. I am a small scale producer in Scotland and I would say that you might have to go off the beaten track (i.e. the Highlands) to sample really good local Scottish food. You want recommendations of restaurants? Check out:

Come to the Isle of Skye and you'll never, ever again say that Scotland and good food don't go together - I promise!!!!!!!

Well, I've decided I would try haggis someday if there was somebody who knew enough about haggis who could take me to a restaurant that cooks it right.

"I am new to PotterCast and I was just wondering if any of you here could teach me to hear the very beginning of PotterCast. I already have iTunes installed and everything."
Valerie, if you haven't already done so, the first thing you need to do is subscribe to PotterCast on iTunes. If you search for PotterCast in the iTunes shop you should find it easily enough. This means that iTunes will be able to download every new episode without you having to re-search for it. (Tip: If a new episode doesn't download when you expect it to, hit the Refresh button at the bottom right of iTunes). Once you've subscribed, click on the "Podcast" option on the left side of iTunes and you should see a list of the last 15-20 episodes. Above them there should be a Section heading saying "PotterCast: The Harry Potter Podcast" with a "GET ALL" button to the right; click it and iTunes will download all the episodes on the list.
OK, to get the rest of the old episodes, all the way back to No. 1, you'll need to download then directly for PotterCast.com . If you look at the links on the top left of this page, you'll see "Past Episodes". This takes you to a list of every episode, click on the one that you want to listen to and go down to the bottom of the page and click on the "Direct Download" button to listen. Hope that helps!! :-)
Bell, barbecued black pudding?? I've never heard of that!!! You'll need to let me know what it's like. I wouldn't try it with haggis though, if you ever come across it, because I'd think it'd probably explode LOl!!

Fantastic episode as usual!! I absolutely loved Frak's addition in the intro, it's been long overdue!
Now, I'm not even sure if John was joking or not, maybe I just misunderstood it, but did he say Alan Rickman was in Mamma Mia?? I think they have him confused with the Swedish actor Stellan SkarsgÄrd, who plays the third potential father. Being a swede, I naturally couldn't let it pass, in this small country, we stand up for eachother! ;-)

Yes, you're right John.
I've met Eric a number of times since he was studying and working here in Wellington last year.
I hope you guys can come here one day.

Katy, maybe you already know this, but just in case you don't: If you click on "Past Episodes" on the left sidebar of this page, you can page back to the earliest episodes and find links for Direct Download for each one. Most of those links work for me (e.g., I just got Episode 1), but some of them may be broken. (Sorry if you already knew that!)
