Oh and pumpkin pasties made with London curry powder (Like chip shop curry) are a winner.
I apologise to those who have no idea what a bog awful curry flavour that is!

Well, we don't need to wonder what could be served as we only need to open any HP to find out what Jo's dream foods are:- Sausage and mash, Steak and kidney pie, Fruit crumbles etc. My only worry is that these foods are winter foods for cold days; I wouldn't really want to eat this when it's hot. Any ideas about summer foods? British salads traditionally have such things as cress, grated carrot, coleslaw and salad cream etc (I love peas in salad cream!) Not sure if other countries have these or would take to them.
Suggested summer foods:
Summer pudding?
Blackberry and apple ice-cream?
Pickled eggs?
Ploughmans lunch?

I don't know if anyone has already said this, but according to IMDb, Katie Bell has been cast, and Georgina Leonidas is playing her.
You can see it at this link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0417741/
I don't know how accurate that is, but I was curious to see if she had been cast :)

Just to add to the discussion re Scottish food:
Firstly, i DO NOT think that the theme park will limit itself to Scottish foodsutffs, because Hogwarts certainly doesn't .
Lots of the food described at the Hogwarts feasts are very seventies-style BRITISH party food. The kind of comforting, high-calorie food JKR would have liked to eat herself as a child. I think that perhaps some of her sister's favourite dishes made it in there, too.
Other, more "magical " foodstuffs created by JKR might not work so well in practice (I don't think pumpkin juice would actually be that delicious).
Now Scotland, especially urban Scotland is not known for its healthy eating habits, diet and lifestyle; but Scottish Cuisine, is actually very advanced and delicious. You just need to know where to go. There is an abundance of fresh fish, for example, and good cheeses, venison and smoked salmon.
Not omitting to mention the wonderful strawberries and raspberries available at this time of year due to the long summer evenings ripening the fruit.
Even haggis can be delicious, but I acknowledge that not everyone can stomach a stomach!
Trying to eat cheap or fast food in Scotland is madness, they don't DO food like you see on the streets in New York, for example; I think it's the rain. So everything it deep fried... usually dipped in batter first, and washed down with a soda called Irn-Bru, which, although a very good hangover cure, has little else to recommend it. It is VILE.
Next time any of you venture to Scotland, let us know in advance, there are lots of us who can advise you on how to experience real Scottish and British food that won't leave you wincing!

Actually, yeah - we haven't heard about the Acting Troupe in a while. If not this episode, maybe the next, John? Unless there is nothing new to report...

Hey John, I know ya'll probably have already recorded episode 160 but I was wondering if you could let us know how the Harry Potter radio theater was coming along, just hadn't heard anything in awhile. Thanks!
