Oh, Yeah, I have to agree with Neil from Scotland. Don't count out food like Haggis until you have had it properly prepared. I have not had Haggis, but I have seen some cooking shows that say that a good Haggis is REALLY good and a bad Haggis is probably worse than you imagine. The fear of a food should be based on experience. When I was young our family traveled to a lot of other countries and I ate what was presented to me. Some of the food turned out to be stuff I never thought I'd be caught dead eating, but luckily I found out what it was after I had eaten it. Some of it was pretty gross, but I tried it to discover if I liked it or not. If "not" then at least I knew I had made the effort. The experience changed my life forever.

No offense at all Neil, but I do dislike Scottish food as well. I have a dear friend who lives there and invited me out to some very nice restaurants, but the food was never quite to my liking. Many of the things served were probably something to get used to for me. Don't get me wrong - I had some wonderful food there, too, just not something I would turn to for comfort food yet :) Though, I can't exactly say much for American food, either...Hot dogs of any sort DO disgust me, LOL

Hey guys, seriously not cool!! I've just started listening to this week show and you're slagging off my National Dish and our cuisine in general! That's mean! Lol!
Seriously though, as John said, there are far worse things in hot dogs than haggis, guys! Melissa, there are good burgers and bad burgers, great pizza and terrible pizza, and there is good haggis and very bad haggis!!! When you've eaten in Scotland, you've probably not eaten in great places (like pubs for example?). Our food does tend to be poor in places like that, but if you guys ever come over to Scotland for a live show I'll take you to a decent resturant where you can get the best Scottish ingredients cooked properly, and I guarantee that you'll all love it!!!

I must second the Stucchi's plug :) Amazing ice cream, really. I have been there once, and never regreted the decision, even if it was in the middle of a pretty hard-core diet :P

This was an excellent PotterCast! I just love the "Guess that Book" segment. I hope you will keep playing that for a while.
The duplicating charm "Geminio" looks like it comes from the word "Gemini" meaning twins. It is later mentioned in the vault at Gringotts as the charm that caused everything touched to multiply. So Frak was right that while the charm makes a duplicate of an object, it is not a functioning copy (the duplicated treasure in the vault was worthless - so would be a kidney! ) However I have not seen any indication that the copy would not be stable or would disappear over time.

Someone reported that they replaced Katie Bell with Cho Chang, so Cho is the one that gets cursed by the necklace.

As a Michigan Alum,
When you drop by Ann Arbor, visit:
--Stucchi's for the best ice cream of your life (on State St.);
--Zingerman's for the best sandwich/pickles of your life (in Kerrytown);
--Ashley's for the best beers on tap (on State St)
--See a movie at the Michigan Theater (on E. Liberty St.)
--Grab Bubble Tea at Bubble Island (on S. University)
--Pinball Petes!! (think a grown up Chuck E. Cheese! on S. University)
--Middle Earth store for gag gifts, vintage and nastalgia items (on S. University)
--Encore Recordings for used records/cds (on E. Liberty St.)
--American Spoon Foods for gelatto and jams/jellies (on E. Liberty St.)
--Pizza House for the best Chicago style pizza of your life (on Church St., off S. University)
--Good Time Charleys for lunch, burgers, and great Happy Hour specials (and just about every type of Long Island Iced Tea that exists--on S. University)
I'll be in Cleveland, Ohio (figures) on August 4th :( But it's for a Radiohead concert, so :D
Either way, It would've been awesome to run into the cool kids!
Go Blue!

I don't have time to email, but hopefully one of the four cast will read this -- I think Hermione couldn't cast a patronus in the ministry of magic because she had the horcrux. Later on in the book when Harry goes into a village to steal food and sees dementors and can't conjure a patronus, it's because he's wearing the horcrux.
Love the show!
