Oh yeah the fan interviews! I miss the ModCasts though... that was a great way to get other people to discuss too, and it felt more organic. :)

Maybe it's the lack of sleep but I can't figure out the episode title.
Yeah scribby 5, I like the idea of talking to the people that actually wrote the essays, and getting them to expand on or maybe even argue their view with opposition instead of just summarizing what they wrote(or doing a similar thing if a particularly big issue comes up on the forums or something.) as for the script, it only takes one person who's comfortable talking unscripted to sort of moderate/lead the discussion for others, so maybe they just need a little new blood(honestly I am kind of sympathetic as I think I would be a total deer-in-the-headlights doing stuff and would probably write down everything I wanted to say too.) I was listening to a bunch of the old PC episodes and the fan interviews were some of the best parts, not just for essay-related things but for everything, there's so many fan projects around that I'm sure people are clueless about that are rad.
ALSO after listening to so many old shows I feel like I know way too much about you guys it's weird, but c'est le internet.

Scribby 5 - stiffer than a pair of broomsticks.
As interesting as some of the essay topics are, the delivery sucks the excitement out.
This episode, with the whining about the 1st half of DH making a lousy movie was particularly bad.
Moviemakers don't do things in the exact order of a book. They use flashbacks to previous movies to tell portions of stories. LOTR movies are a great example of how a movie can tell the same story in a different way.
There is no debate where someone calls an essay out on fuzzy thinking.

making snape bad .. would be horrible he is my absolute favourite character.
if he were to be bad in the movies they would just cut out a whole lot of him in the movie.

The idea of a Scribby debate sounds good. Even if it was scripted. At least it would give a more blanced view...though I'm not saying that Scribby 5 is Fox News. Scribby 5 probably has a general consensus among the PC fans of scrap it or drop the script and see if they can do without it. I wonder if they are slowly fazing it out. It seems to be a less common segment.

Will we ever be able to download the whole Pheonix Files? I know about the commentaries but I think the Pheonix Files are more interesting and funny, and also for Bit by Bit??
Are you planning on doing Bit by Bit for the other 6 books because that would be really great?
Well done on another great show guys!!

Anonymous: Scribbulus can be found via Leaky - don't know if the comments will let me post links, but here: http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/features/essays :) Go check the essays out, they are great and very interesting!
Ian, I really like your idea of having a debate - maybe you could even keep on the current Scribby girls and have them draw up a few opposing points, and argue their case for about two minutes each. I HATE to bring up this example, and if you PotterCasters are reading this, I do it with love for you, but... on MuggleCast (aah but wait, it's a really good idea!) they used to have a debate segment in which a topic was sprung on them and they were assigned sides, and then like in a proper debate they had to argue their case quickly and then there was a judging... maybe something like that could work for Scribby 5? If say, Erin took one side and Nina took another and then they had two minutes each to argue a case - it might still be scripted, but at least it wouldn't be scripted conversation (with laugh cues) which I think it what bothers most of us. It would add some energy, and then maybe they could bring the author or a third party in to judge, or maybe they could leave it open and say like, "Read the essay yourself and decide for yourself". I think that could be pretty awesome, and I hope you guys will consider it! :)
