PotterCast 213: Look At Us Now

 

The PotterCast 213th episode of PotterCast, our Harry Potter podcast, is now online for your audible (and now visual) enjoyment.  This week, the PotterCasters are excited to bring you a new feature: Video of the LiveStream recording of PotterCast.  Available on the iTunes feed, and as a direct download, this experimental feature lets you see the video from the LiveStream recordings of the show.  As always, this episode starts off with the latest Potter news, including the "Very Potter Sequel" announcement, JKR as the Scotswoman of the Decade, a new LEGO Harry Potter trailer, the Leakies winners, and much more.  Next, Potter Pundits returns with a segment on your choice of a character-centric segment, discussing the always intriging character of Luna Lovegood.  Following the Pundits, the Melissa, John, and Frak return with a new Bit-by-Bit, covering the first half of Chapter 23 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.  Finally, the drums bring the show to a close, with more on the LiveStream recordings, three questions from the audience, and much more!

PotterCast 212: Goodbye 2009!

  
Happy New Year!  It is time once again for the PotterCasters to take a look back at the year that has passed in the life of PotterCast.  Our 212th episode of PotterCast, our Harry Potter podcast, features Melissa, John, and Frak as they highlight some of your favorite PotterCast moments from 2009.  From six week long PotterCast summer tour, to the many fandom and news events of the past year, this episode goes through the biggest events month by month.  Leaky's Year in Review can be found here, here, and here.  A montage of clips from the past year follows.  In the WrapUp, the PotterCasters talk of their New Years plans, what they look forward to in 2010, and leave us with their parting 2009 memories.

PotterCast 211: Never Be Afraid to Squee

 
PotterCast, our Harry Potter podcast,
has its holiday episode online, just in time for Christmas.  Our 211th episode starts off with the latest in Potter news, including a preview of the One Day in the Life of Daniel Radcliffe book from photographer Tim Hailand, a teaser of the Harry Potter LEGO game, the Economist's look at the economy of the Harry Potter series, the many end of the year lists coming online, and a rundown of the recent commentary on HBP Live community screening with Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and producer David Barron.  Next, the PotterCast holiday filks are here, giving you the first part of our collection of original holiday themed Harry Potter songs.  A Christmas themed Potter Pundits follows, with a discussion on the always eventful Christmas holiday happenings from the Harry Potter novels.  Following another round of filks, the finale to Albus Severus' story at Hogwarts wraps up his first year at Hogwarts.  The final round of filks leads us into the drums where the PotterCasters discuss their Christmas plans, snow, beer, and a goodbye to Sue.

From Sue: Please forgive this personal note, but as many of you know, I was unable to go on tour with PotterCast this summer as my family had to take priory. As you might have seen either on my Facebook or Twitter, earlier this month, my beloved mother lost her battle against ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) At the moment, frankly I am faltering quite a bit these days, but please know all the kind words support and condolences have meant so much to my entire family and truly so, it is very much appreciated.  You can learn more about ALS at this link.
