    PotterCast 216: Do House Elves Lay Eggs?

    PotterCast, our Harry Potter podcast, is here today to bring you its 216th episode of Harry Potter news, discussion, and fun.  First, the PotterCasters sort through the latest news, which include stories about Jo Rowling becoming a special edition Barbie doll, "Deathly Hallows" filming news from Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), confirmation of "Deathly Hallows" in 3D, Tom Felton's next film role, and an update about Helping Haiti Heal.  Following the news, Bit by Bit goes through the heartbreaking and beautiful twenty-fourth chapter of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," where the Trio plot out their next move against Lord Voldemort.  Next, Princely Pieces takes us through the next part of the sixth Harry Potter film where Harry and Luna disembark from the Hogwarts Express and enter Hogwarts.  Finally, the drums bring the end of the show, with

    has now been released for your listening pleasure.  This week, the show kicks off with news on the many awards for the "Half-Blood Prince" film, WWoHP job search, Alexandre Desplat composing "Deathly Hallows: Part One," and an award for actor Michael Gambon (Dumbledore).  Next, Bit by Bit uncovers more about the goings on at Malfoy Manor, when the Trio is held captive by the Death Eaters.  This discussion goes on to cover Wormtail's final moments, the flash of Voldemort through Harry, and the final brave act of Dobby, the House Elf.  Princely Pieces follows, with talk of the the rest of the Diagon Alley trip, Draco's secret rendezvous down Knockturn Alley with Bellatrix and Greyback, and their eventual trip to Hogwarts.  Finally, the show wraps up with news on how to make video voice mails, some emails from readers, Frak talks The Lovely Bones film, and much more.

    PotterCast, our Harry Potter podcast, has its holiday episode online, just in time for Christmas.  Our 211th episode starts off with the latest in Potter news, including a preview of the One Day in the Life of Daniel Radcliffe book from photographer Tim Hailand, a teaser of the Harry Potter LEGO game, the Economist's look at the economy of the Harry Potter series, the many end of the year lists coming online, and a rundown of the recent commentary on HBP Live community screening with Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and producer David Barron.  Next, the PotterCast holiday filks are here, giving you the first part of our collection of original holiday themed Harry Potter songs.  A Christmas themed Potter Pundits follows, with a discussion on the always eventful Christmas holiday happenings from the Harry Potter novels.  Following another round of filks, the finale to Albus Severus' story at Hogwarts wraps up his first year at Hogwarts.  The final round of filks leads us into the drums where the PotterCasters discuss their Christmas plans, snow, beer, and a goodbye to Sue.
